Natalie began performing whilst attending The Sylvia Young Theatre School from the age of 11 and later securing a much sought after place studying musical theatre at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music London.
Natalie's career thus far has seen her cover a wide spectrum of the industry, from supporting Showaddywaddy on their ‘Hey Rock ’n' Roll’ Tour in a female vocal harmony group named 'The Corsettes' to taking the lead role as the Live singing voice of Pocohontas for Disneyland Paris to being a backing vocalist on Royal Command Performances working alongside such artistes as Sir Cliff Richard, Liza Minnelli, Olivia Newton John, Tommy Steele and Elton John to name but a few...However this wasn't my first time working with the’ Rocket Man’ as I appeared with him in 2004 at Wembley Arena, Birmingham NEC and the Royal Albert Hall.
Natalie's break into the tribute world came when she joined a well known Abba Tribute Act which toured Europe culminating in performances in Shanghai. This later prompted her to begin her own tribute show to the Queen of Pop herself Madonna! This show has generated work all over the world from Ireland to Oman, Switzerland to Bulgaria.
Natalie continues to tour the length and breadth of the UK with Detroit Magic - Motown and Soul show in which she performs as lead female vocal (www.detroit-magic.com).
80's Knights is another string to this natural performers bow and is the perfect addition to her Motown (60's) Abba (70's) Madonna (80's, 90's,00's) shows.
Rusty has been entertaining for nearly 20 years. After being trained in the Performance Arts through college, he learned his craft by starting out in the UK holiday camps. He credits his time as a Butlins Redcoat nearly 20 years ago in how he learned to entertain a crowd and his love of performing. Through the years, as well as performing in UK holiday resorts, his work has taken him around the world on land and at sea.
After spending time watching, learning and working alongside numerous tribute artists and names such as: Jimmy James & The Vagabonds, Edwin Starr, The Drifters, Bucks Fizz, Boney M, Go West and many more, he decided to embrace the microphone himself.
After 11 years of being a professional singer and travelling the length and breadth of the UK performing in the Working Men’s clubs, Casinos, Haven’s, Pontins and theme parks he had a vision that a change was to come. That vison was of three Knights on horseback, dressed in 80s regalia who were beckoning for a fourth and there we had it…. the line-up was complete…. THE 80s KNIGHTS.
Random fact: Rusty wears more make up than the band put together!
At the age of 6 Ash decided he didn't want to play the piano anymore, this conveniently being the day before his 1st piano exam...had his father not clipped him around the ear, his vocation in life could have been dramatically different :-) Thankfully Ash came to his senses and continued to practice (and kept his thoughts to himself!) funding his way through college playing cocktail piano in restaurants, weddings etc, his first regular professional gig came at age 17 when he joined 'A Carpenters Masquerade' performing in theatres, this quickly led on to appear in several Abba bands as their 'Benny' before forming his own band - Detroit Magic (6 piece Motown, Soul and Northern Soul band) back in 2001 check them out here...
In 2005 Ash joined an Abba show where he met Natalie, the two of them got along ok and decided to get engaged 3 months later...14 years on, 12 years of marriage, 2 sons and 100's of gigs later they still get along...OK :D
Born in the 80's, accomplished synth player and Keytar owner.. Ash is well qualified to be an 80's Knight!
Beating our crusading Drum is our fourth knight...Russ Collins.
A superb drummer as well as keyboard player Russ has been on the gigging circuit for many years and has helped produce many other drummers / percussionists thanks to his futher talents as a top tutor!
